Yesterday, five years since the album’s initial release, R&B songstress SZA released seven songs thst make up CTRL (Deluxe).

The songs were all recorded in 2014-2016, SZA says. Some were already released or leaked on Soundcloud like her take on PartyNextDoor’s hit “Come And See Me”, “2AM”. And others are new to all listeners. Nonetheless. fans are still raving, which is understandable considering the fact that SZA is typically hesitant to drop new music and has expressed this several times before.

This is a perfect way to commemorate the album’s fifth anniversary. The album is considered a classic for our generation, and it hasn’t left the Billboard Top 200 since its’ release. Her raw and vulnerable lyrics mixed with the alternative, unique take on R&B is groundbreaking, and these seven tracks just add to the reputation the album already has.

To listen for yourself, Stream CTRL (Deluxe) on all streaming platforms and follow @SZA to stay tuned.
